METAL WORKING

Wire Experimentation

I call this piece Entropy and it was inspired by Elijah Secrest a fantastic maker. This mask is fully customized to my face and opens with a flick of my head, and an opening of my jaw. It is five unique pieces hand crafted of copper wire. The skull was made from torn pages from an old book my grandmother had. It was a important design element to include vintage pages to match the patina of the copper wire.

An Insect Gathering…

Like all of my projects, the act of making should be equal parts fun and challenging. From large projects like Entropy, to a set of quirky insect families - I enjoy trying new mediums, and methods, and having fun along the way.

Like this large Garden Dragonfly I made for Father’s Day.
My dad loved it and I loved making it.
